Outdoor Activies Pad Project

GLIA has some exciting news!

We found a home for our Outdoor Activities Pad (OAP).This multicourt area will be located just East of the boat ramp on the East side of the lake. We will have a rendering of what the project will look like set up at the construction site for you to view. (See photo below)

If you look closely at the project you will see that this area will not only have new courts for pickleball and basketball but will also have a new structured area for parking! With this project we will be able to organize the parking so that we can accommodate all parking for the activities pad and also plenty of parking for vehicles and their boat trailers. We have attached a copy of the preliminary site layout for you to view.

This project is scheduled to start this spring once load limits are lifted and we can get that large equipment over to the site to get started! Please keep checking our website and the construction site to watch our progress. We are hoping to have this completed mid to late summer for us to enjoy yet this year keeping our fingers crossed that all goes as planned!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of us and we would be happy to answer them for you

Projects for 2024

This website!!
Building Picnic shelters on the cement slabs that were prepped in 2023
We excited to put together a plan for construction and funding opportunities for a full-court basketball court and pickleball court north of the pavilion as a way to expand the recreation opportunities for our youth. We have had several people ask about a pickleball court as it is an activity suitable for kids ages 5-85! This would be a great asset to our lake community, but we realize this is also a big project so are doing due diligence to be sure the project is well informed and successful.

More to Come!  If you have an idea for an improvement, please contact a member of the Golden Lake Improvement Association Board.
